We will visit your home and answer all your questions, whilst offering advice from your initial enquiry from day one. Our advisory service is completely free and forms part of the customer service we offer all our existing and new clients.

If you decide you want Archiplan to act on your behalf, we will proceed to carry out a full building measurement survey of your existing home. This takes around an hour to an hour and a half and every room needs to be accessible; as this is the base point for any Planning Permission or Building Warrant Application. Everything starts off with an accurately drawn plan(s) of your home as presented in its current stance.

We will then design and develop your ideas and draw your full set of Proposed Plans using our CAD facilities.

Throughout the whole application process, we will act as your agent and will liaise with the local authorities until your application(s) are granted.

Building Warrants are required for all internal and external alterations to ensure compliance with the Building Standards. A building warrant must be applied for, and granted by the local authority verifier before any building work can commence.

Building Standards ensure that all new or alterations to buildings comply with the Building Regulations which set the national standards for health and safety. The detailed requirements of each Building Regulation are contained in the Technical Handbooks.

Once your Building Warrant application has been reviewed by the council, and depending on the complexity of the proposals, they may ask for an SER (Structural Engineers Report) and/or Certificated of Design and Conversion.

This is a normal request and we can take care of the whole process on your behalf with our recommended engineers who carry out work on our behalf at very reasonable rates.
