Once your Building Warrant application has been reviewed by the council, and depending on the complexity of the proposals, they may ask for an SER (Structural Engineers Report) and/or Certificated of Design and Conversion.
This is a normal request and we can take care of the whole process on your behalf with our recommended engineers who carry out work on our behalf at very reasonable rates.
With us having good business to business relationships with our hand-picked engineers, it allows us to provide the engineer with our CAD file of the architectural drawings produces for your original applications, which in turn reduces the engineers’ time on your project as they can gather all the information they require from our CAD files. This in turn ensures you get the best price and good value for money.
The certifying engineer is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of design of the structure of a project satisfy the requirements of the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004. Current Legislation also makes engineers who are responsible for building structures specifically aware of their responsibilities and duties in the design, thus improving assurance of structural safety.
